"Truly one of the best places I visited in Sicily. We were welcomed by the owner, all staff was incredibly friendly. Not touristy at all, freshly made paste and no upselling. We only had the boar pasta and the fennel salad. Cute seating area in a small alley."

Every item off the menu we enjoyed was a delicious and made all the better by knowing it all comes from the restaurants own farm. The local wine , recommended by the waitress, was some of the best on our recent holiday in Italy. Make sure you book in advance as it is very popular."

"This was a very special dinner. The philosophy of the restaurant is the best ingredients, and zeeo-mile supply chain. The menu shared where the products are from (their farm, mostly), and had such delicious items. Their wine recommendation was perfect. The seating is down a laneway, which felt away from the chaos of the street. The service was very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed the Mandrinetto so much we bought a bottle when we left."

"Amazing food! They serve you food from ingredients they harvest - Dalla terra alla tavola! We ordered Parmigiana Della Nonna, Calamarata al Ragù di Polpo e Calamari, and Baccalà alla Mediterraneo. The pasta was fresh, al dente, well cooked and the red tomato sauce was out of the world, with a generous amount of squid and octopus. The codfish in the Baccala was delicious and it came with a very nice sauce on the side made from onions, olives, tomatoes and celery. We ordered a cheesecake for dessert made with their local Ricotta cheese and it was mouthwatering. To top it all, the ladies who served us were very friendly and welcoming, and they made sure to explain the history of this place. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Ortigia!"
